Opinion: Auschwitz comes to the middle of America, with a powerful warning

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Michael Berenbaum, eminent scholar of the Holocaust, opened a powerful exhibition here on Monday by saying, “People must go to Auschwitz, and Auschwitz must go to the people.” So here it is, an indictment, a warning, a challenge: Come to the middle of the American map.
