We are proud and thrilled to welcome you to beautiful St. Louis, home of the nicest people in the world and the Gateway Arch (you won’t believe it!) for the 32nd Annual WFJCSH&D Conference and family gathering. We are known as “The Gateway to the West.” Local attractions include a brand-new aquarium, a history museum, an art museum, a science center, Grant’s farm, the famous Gateway Arch museum, a brewery, and several casinos. For you sports fans, we are also home to the eleven time world champion Cardinals and the 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues. Tours of Busch Stadium are available. Another star attraction is Main Street, a quaint old-time cobblestone shopping area, in St. Charles, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis.
We are not short of eateries which include the world-famous Ted Drews Frozen Custard and Crown Candy. We have a couple of fine Jewish delis. One is Pumpernickles and the other is Kohns, a Kosher deli which was started by a Holocaust survivor and is now run by his children. Our town is the originator of toasted ravioli. We have an area known as “The Hill” which features a number of terrific Italian restaurants. Great dinner spots before or after the conference.
On Monday after the conference, we are offering a guided bus tour through historic St. Louis, including Jewish St. Louis.
Please know how happy and honored we are to be part of planning this conference here. We look forward to having you all here. As Judy Garland famously sang, “Meet Me in St. Louis!”
