The WFJCSH&D is shocked and saddened by the shooting attack at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh

We are shocked, saddened and horrified by the tragedy that occurred yesterday at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. As Holocaust Survivors and descendants of survivors, we know all too well the tragedy of antisemitism and hatred. Our families were destroyed by violent antisemitism in Europe. We the Child Survivors experienced the tragedy and horrors of the Holocaust. We hope and pray that our children and grandchildren can live in a world of tolerance, peace, and love for one another. This will continue to be our mission and our goal forever.

We send our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to our Jewish brothers and sisters in Pittsburgh. We pledge to continue to strengthen our efforts to teach and fight against antisemitism to try to prevent such tragedies from occurring again. We understand the pain that our friends, relatives, sisters and brothers in Pittsburgh are experiencing. We stand in solidarity with them, and with all our fellow Jews throughout the world.
